I love my iPhone. Honestly, I have never felt so connected with an electronic device in my life. It seems to have become a part of me.

I love taking photos. In the past few years, I was so used to keeping a digital camera in my handbag all the time and shooting photos wherever and whenever I wanted to. However, after recently I retired my beloved DC, I felt immediately a big hole in my life and desperately needed a replacement to that.

As you may know that my life, in the last 6 months, has changed so much that I not only lost lots of sleeps, but also was exposed to the risk of losing my sort of lifestyle.

I don’t want to. As I was trying to defend this last freedom of mine, iPhone happened to become the one to help a lot: An absolutely convenient and smart one!

As it is with me all the time and goes to wherever I go, I really couldn’t find anything else that could be possibly better to balance the lack of time due to the obiligations and the desire to ‘create’ more time to do what I love to do.

That’s when I started to love taking photos with my iPhone. It not only helps to keep a visual note of my ongoing life, but also allows my so-called interests to be expressed.

It makes me feel happier and fuller. While the mood is being lightened, the life(style) is being protected. I feel I’m no longer a crazy new mom being a baby slave, but a proactive person who creates positive memories of NOW and THEN.

Please click to visit my newly established iPhone Art Gallery (here) or the iPhone link above in the main menu which functions as an independent blog but also exists as a subsite of my main blog, and I hope you would enjoy the photos just as much as when I shot and posted them directly from my iPhone.

I try to take Vivian out for a walk everyday, normally after she had some sleep and a feed. It has become a daily routine of mine, as I find it much easier to handle the situation of looking after a baby full time at home.

It really helps to break a long day and whatever dynamics that is “there” due to staying indoor for a long time. It gives me some peaceful time without having to physically holding her, or feeling obliged to mentally entertain her all the time.

I push the pram to everywhere, carrying a water bottle and in my comfy walking shoes. My favourite destination is still the Queanbeyan Park, where I not only love walking in the beautiful scene and clearing my thoughts but also enjoy taking some photos with my iPhone.

Now is the best time for the people who love autumn. Here is truly beautiful , with golden falling leaves floating in the air and covering the evergreen lawn. Even today is one of those typical wet and cold days, it still took my breath away for the moment.

Monday—wiped all the windows, Tuesday—washed the carpet, Wednesday— set up the cot, Thursday— did laundry and washed all the baby clothes and stuff, dried them in the sun and folded them away, Friday— got baby car seat installed and saw the midwife in the afternoon, Saturday went to the whole day parent course organised by the hospital…… then there is a plan for next week to clean every inch of the kitchen cupboards, then refrigerator, then mop the floor, then clean the bathroom……

I am so glad that in the first week of my leave, everything has been going well according to MY PLAN. It’s not that this place has a need to have a big spring clean or it’s not like the baby would be spending any time over the most places that I have cleaned. I don’t know why, I just got to have it all cleaned, so I scrubbed like crazy. I suppose it’s me, being so obsessed with the idea of “I’ve got it all organised before the time comes”.

People said it’s called “NESTING”. The term comes from mother birds preparing their nests prior to laying eggs. In the human world, the term means flurry of activity that seems to happen to women getting close to the arrival of a new baby. I initially heard this word from a lady in our library when I was borrowing one of the paper quilling books. She said to me that it’s a good book to read when I am nesting.

Now I kind of have not much time left for paper quilling, crafts making, sewing, knitting and a lot of “hobby”stuff, as I am getting more and more tired and work more and more slowly. I have to prioritise to decide which one is worth me spending more of my energy and which one I should just give up or compromise.

It often happens that I had to break a task to several sessions and only organised to finish one thing per day. That’s why I found that taking leaves from this moment on actually proved to be such a smart idea, as I have plenty of time to finish the things I want to get done and also have time to get some rest without feeling so stressed.

Today is about 18 degrees. It feels really nice!

The weather just drove me mad in the past two days. Two nights in a row, I was like in half sleep with the body lying on the bed but the mind feeling “it was so bloody hot” tortured me so badly that I was not really sure if I ever had a real sleep or not.

In the middle of the Friday night, I touched my neck and it felt like putting my hands into a pond. I was sweating all over. I turned to another side for a moment and by the moment I came back, I can feel that my pillow was all damp wet.

What a terrible night! Even though I expected that my current state makes me easily get overheated, I still find it hard to take. Now I am thinking how bad this is gonna become in the next a few months, given that now it’s only November.

Most of summer time in Queanbeyan and Canberra, the weather is bearable even in the hottest time. That’s why not many people need an air conditioning in their house. And most of time, temperature drops during the night time and we even need to use a cotton quilt at the night time. But there was some weeks that could get really hot, and I just hope this year is not one of those times.

Finger crossed, just let me go through it this year, otherwise I have to think of using the bath tub as my bed or get a portable air con to solve the problem

This is what you can see if you look up. At least this is what I see.

I have a theory that I had been telling people and hoping they would believe. My theory is that, people with different height look at the world differently. For example, a person who is 160cm tall sees the different things from what a people with 170 cm tall can see.

You maybe would laugh at me thinking that I am crazy or twisting other factors into this statement, as people see world differently anyway. But my theory is purely about physical side of it, coming down to the “height” but nothing else.

Anyway, believe it or not. It’s just a thought. It probably has nothing to do with 3 birdies standing on these cable lines. But it’s so quiet up there if you do look into that direction, leaving you behind all the chaos happening down there where we land our feet.
