After our Sunday Yum-Cha lunch, we decided to take some time walking along the lake to digest the food in our overloaded stomachs. Over the time we were up there, we saw tones of people sitting by the lake fishing. It looked really weird as I have never seen any people fishing in this lake. Was it because the weather suitable for a fishing outing or there was something else going on?
I have never been fishing in my life, but looking at those keen people lined up along the bank, we assumed that this must be a very interesting hobby to kill the time, and to get Vitamin D and calcium as well.

We stopped at a couple of persons who looked like pros, then we found out it’s the international fishing competition week. No wonder! One of guy is from New Zealand and has been fishing for probably half an century. He just came over to Australia for this competition. Over the time we were with them, he caught a carp. Surprisingly he told us this is purely for comepetition, and the participants were not going to kill any caught fish. What he did was to put the fish in a big fish net and put it back under the water. We wished him good luck but felt that we were really lucky. I thought it would take ages to catch a fish, and I didn’t expect that we would experience the moment just in such a short time.

Later we found out that we were actually not lucky but stupid (which further confirmed that we know nothing about fishing). The second guy we stopped by was from UK but now resides in Brisbane. Within only 10 mintues with him, he caught two carps. To me the carp he caught was big, but he said it was just a baby small one. Then he took out his iPhone, and showed us the one he caught in Spain which weighed 100 kilos and about the length with 3 big guys holding the body.We were shocked, with mouth open, just speechless.

Wow…apparently it opens up another whole new world to us. You never knew how people spend their time in this world. There are so many different ways to enjoy the life…. Someone like me, knits, someone drgaon boats, someone goes to gym, someone paints and someone just sits there watching the television….

Life is immense and it never ceased offfering you with the excitement if you are prepared to enjoy whatever it gives.I have never worried about this bit. The only thing I find really hard is, it seems that I never had enough time to enjoy more.
