For a couple of recent weeks, I have been creating. Knitting a shrug, designing the flyers, newsletters and brochures, and cleaning up some funny accounts which need a highly creative mind I have a feeling that I am going back to my old Legend days where I created many PowerPoint and website layouts for promotional purpose. I wouldn’t say I am good at but I definitely love that. It’s something deep inside my skin and blood. If there is a bone called “DESIGN FEVER”, I must have that bone. But it’s a pity that it’s just a small part of my job. I don’t get that much in the past 5 years since I left Legend, but I can see the tendency that I will get it quite often in the future.

I used to be a super big fan of Coolhomepages, Presenters University and some image websites like Corbis, Getty Images, ShutterStock, Eyewire and Dreamstime. Now I am in love with Zen Garden and feeling very curious about CSS. BlogSkin is something I found it very attractive but not practically suit for everyone, especially for those mature adult. The skins posted in this website more likely draw the attention of those young bloggers. But those designs are really eye-catching.

To make a good design, see other’s work as much as possible is just the first step but absolutely necessary, which gives you endless inspiration. Probably you can not make an equally good one as theirs, but you will get a head full of new and bold ideas. It is what the designing is all about and some kind of thing that I love the most…break the rules and dare to create.
