As our centre set up a tent at this year’s Murrumbateman Field Day, I ended up spending the whole Sunday morning up there and looking.

Apart from taking care of our tent, I was kind of looking forward to see how a country farming fair market would look like. I was so surprised to see so many people come over and as well how many dogs came along with their owners (of course on their leashes). I guess it would be a great outing for all of family, from adults to little babies.

People came from local areas, or Yass Valley or even like us from Queanbeyan or Canberra, just looking for some fun and a good time spending in a country town.

For the first time, I saw my favourite type of wool’s mothership, many many shaven and unshaven Alpaca waiting to be picked up by their new owners (see the photo left). They are one of the cutest little animals that I have ever seen in my life, especially those unshaven Alpaca. When you touch the fur on their body, it feels soooooooooooo soft and delightful. I can’t help thinking of all the possible lovely wool that can be spun from this…..I want to take one home to keep it as a pet, maybe?

Then I saw the bigger version of Alpaca, Llama, ever heard of it? I don’t blame you if you can’t see the distance between where you are at wearing all the product that you like and an animal living in a shed making their small contribution to this world.

So this was pretty much my farming market experience day. By the way, I got 7 pots of pansies and a dozen donuts home :-)
