Another piece made of salt, flour and water. I used the rest half of salty dough left from last time. I am glad to see the dough was still workable after one week storage in the refrigerator. Actually it feels better and became softer and even more elastic than last week.

As the bowl was made by using two moulds and several times of baking, it took a while to joint two pieces together and make it all fit in the middle. The surface is very rough as I didn’t rub it with sandpaper. I didn’t want to, not only to save the time, but to create a kind of primitive style. So was my painting. There is almost no neat edges. I chose red, black and ocher colours, and made a bit variation at the bottom half to give it a bit of texture, but still fairly simple.

I am going to put some dry flowers in the bowl, and I think the best place for this piece is next to that small aboriginal painting on the entertainment unit.
