I’ve been given a pair of handcrafted silver bracelets from one of my colleagues who just came back from her Bali holiday. I am particularly fond of its carving details. It’s a bit like dragon eyes and wings. The silver is shinning in its special way and went just well with what I was wearing today. I can see that I will definitely be wearing them a lot in the future.

I really like silver jewellery very much, especially when it gets a bit of old and worn, and becoming part of its wearer. Many Chinese minorities have tradition of making and wearing silver jewellery as well, like in Yun Nan and Guang Xi provinces. They look just stunning!

Somehow, it reminded me our trip to Lijiang Ancient Town. The time when we were strolling on the streets checking out all the handmade craftworks with a couple of my favourite girlfriends. I still regret that I didn’t buy any of those wood carvings and silver jewellery. I suppose… I still have time? and one day I will go back again?….
