It’s been two weeks. I looked down on the scale and the figure told me that I only lost about 2 kilos. Well, 2 kg…..it’s almost nothing. Everyone can lose 2 kilos just by going to toilet for a couple of times without making any effort on diet or exercise :-) And, anyone can gain 2 kilos just by eating a little bit more than s/he usually does in one meal.

Then I started to play with all the morning and evening numbers of my weight. I even made a funky column chart. I looked at it and amazingly found that it’s actually showing a pleasant tendency to go somewhere, as those 2 kgs are not something that I thought would easily bounce back or quite depends upon what’s eaten.

I thought the hardest time is the first a couple of days. But I was wrong. After the first and second day, the body actually got used to the way how it intakes food and reacts to less food. You feel that you actually don’t really need so much to eat anymore. However, after one week’s time, when your body is really low, your desire awakes. You want to eat something yummy but when you look at the scale, you actually find that your weight didn’t really go down as much as you thought it should do. Then you start to question yourself, “is this working? and is all the sacrifice worth?” Then this is your hardest time. And this is the time to determine who’s going to travel the path of successful weight loss and who’s not.

The key? Keep going when you feel like a stop, and persist in what you are doing when it seems there is no hope.
