Winter time is the greatest time for a cup of hot chocolate. My colleagues do coffee round almost everyday. I had a couple of times asking them to bring me hot chocolate back, but very soon, I found it actually such a waste of money to spend 3 dollars on a hot chocolate everyday if I can make a decent one myself.

However, I need to credit my husband here for his contribution for making the hot chocolate base drink so nicely tasted. In the past I usually pour the boiled water into choc malt to brew the drink. It is absolutely the right way to kill all the good taste of a cup of hot chocolate. What my husband does is to pour about 250ml milk into a glass cup and heat it up at high for about 2 minutes in a microwave oven.

At the same time, prepare another clean coffee mug and wash it with hot water to make it a bit warm, then add 3 heap full teaspoon of chocolate malt into the mug. When the milk is ready, pour the hot milk on the chocolate malt and stir with your spoon at the same time.

Then, squeeze some whipped cream out of the bottle to cover the top. At the last, top with some coco powder or grated choco chips. Alternatively, if you have marshmallow at home, you can throw a couple of marshmallows into the drink. They will melt gradually with you drink the liquid thing.

Now it’s all ready for you!!! Hold your mug with two hands to get warmed up, let steam rising to your face and blur your glasses (if you have them). Chocolate makes people happy and I assure you, if you drink it, you will feel much more satisfied than you thought you would :-) Enjoy!!!
